INTRODUCTION
In 1979, Falcon Publications was founded on the principle of bringing buyers and sellers together, providing current and relevant content as the connecting point. Thus, a regional pioneer was born.
Falcon operated as wholly-owned Bahrain company until 1992, when the company entered into an international partnership with Bell Canada and was renamed Tele-Gulf Directory Publications WLL in 1992. In 2007, Tele-Gulf changed its legal status from WLL to BSC (c).
Over the years, many aspects of the organization have changed in response to the growing demands of the market which also included the re-branding of Tele-Gulf Directory Publications BSC (c) to
Primedia International BSC (c).
Tele-Gulf will use its strength of brand recognition to leverage its existing relationship, extending offerings to new clients through new products, new platforms & new focus.
Primedia International signifies a fundamental move away from our traditional business directories to new print & online media.
HISTORY
Falcon Directory Publications began publishing the Batelco (Bahrain) and Oman Telephone Directories in the same year as its inception, and Primedia publishes the Batelco Directory to this day.
In 1979, Falcon also launched what has become known as one of its most well-recognized products, The Gulf Directory. The Gulf Directory was a unique product at the time, offering regional exposure and response to its advertiser base. And it remains the only directory of its kind within the GCC. The Gulf Directory features listings and contact information of industrial and commercial businesses operating across the GCC.
With the advent of Bahrain positioning itself as the banking capital of the Middle East, our first niche product, Arab Banking & Finance Directory (ABF), was launched in 1984. The ABF Directory continues to provide a comprehensive guide to banks and financial institutions across the Middle East. More information about our product line can be found in our
